Overview

The undergraduate program in Information Technology and Systems is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop strengths in analysis, applied design, and development, implementation, and management of information systems.

What will I study?

Throughout the information technology and systems program, there will be a focus on database and network administration, system administration and programming related courses. Major course areas include:

Network systems and administration
Database systems and administration
Cyber Security
IT Service Management
Data Center Management
IT Systems Acquisition
Systems Analysis and Design
Software Design and Construction

Graduation Requirements

Grade

To graduate from this program, students must pass every compulsory course and support course, as well as 9 credit hours of elective courses. The cumulative grade point average should be at least 2.0.

Internships

An internship is compulsory non-credit work for a student to graduate from the program. It is also an opportunity for students to achieve personal learning goals.

Community Service

A student is recommended to complete 24 hours of community service before graduating from BITS. It is also an opportunity for students to give back to the community.
